What I Found Friday.

Welcome to my first 'What I Found Friday'!

I'm super excited about all of the goodies that I've been finding on the Wild Wild Web!  Recently, I've been consumed by all of the furniture up-cycling that I've been seeing on some of the blogs that I follow, as well as Pinterest.  I just can't seem to get enough of the before and afters.  These ladies are truly creative visionaries.

So, now I would like to share with you some of the ideas that I've found, and am in process of creating my own version:

I found this cute little chandelier turned cake/cupcake holder at www.iheartnaptime.net.

I just picked up a $3 chandelier and some little wood rounds for the small holders.  Still working on putting it all together.  I'll reveal my creation as soon as it's complete.

I've also noticed dressers turned into changing tables for a baby, here are a couple:

The dresser transformation is my next Project!  I've actually started on this... I have my husbands dresser from when he was younger and since we've been married (9 yrs next week) we have never used it......soooo...... it was confiscated for the cause!  The Baby Cause that is!  Again.. once I've finished, I'll post the entire process.

And that concludes my first 'What I Found Friday'.  Like I said, I get most of my ideas from Pinterest, it's addictive!

This new website listed May the 2nd as Baby Day!  To commemorate this most special day... I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family, Baby Nichols:

4D... Pretty Cool.  12 Weeks.

This is the Regular Ultrasound, but same day as the picture above.  12 Weeks.

I am currently pushing 17 weeks.  Which means, in just 2 short weeks we will know if this little one is a Girl or Boy..

Welcome to Blogitty, blog, blog, blog...

Happy May Day - May 1st, the celebration of Spring and Summer on it's way!

I know I've been awol (? is that right ?), but for good reasons ; ) !

On top of the regular everyday chaos...last Fall, my wonderful hubby and I made a HUGE decision to expanding our family. (yeah!)  This was a major decision for us, because after the birth of our daughter in 2005, we were done!  We had our perfect little girl and our family of three was just fine.  However, I just couldn't shake the thought of her being an only child.  Now my husband is an only child and he saw nothing wrong with it, but I grew up with an older brother.  Yes, he would be mean to me and beat me up from time to time, but now... I couldn't imagine not knowing that he was there if I needed him.  I know this may seem like a crazy reason to have another child, but there is also a lot of love in our house and plenty of room for one more of us here!  So I am also excited to announce that in October, we will be meeting this new addition to our family!  We're Pregnant  ; )  !

So back to where I've been....  I think with my mind on a baby and the whirlwind of the holidays happening.. come January 1, I was just creatively exhausted. :(   However, with my new found best friend, aka Pinterest, my creative juices are flowing again!  By the way, if you have not checked out Pinterest, it's a must!  In fact, go now:   http://pinterest.com/   but come back shortly!

Anyway, I am now back making, baking, creating and ready to start sharing with everyone in Blog Land!  So, I guess May is as good a time as any to start a New Year's Resolution, ha!  I wanted to revamp my blog this year, and start posting on a regular basis....  so here we go!!!

Happy November!!

So where has this year gone??? Right?? And now it's the 15th of November and I'm gearing up for Christmas mode. UUGGHH!

This year had blown by, and I feel like I have lived 2011 by events. As soon as one event happens then I'm focused on the next event/trip/function/vacation. And I feel like I've lost out on the day to day. Again, UUGGHH!

Any way, I found this cute little post titled "12 days of Christmas (Kindness)" on the Little Lucy Lu blog: http://www.littlelucylu.com/2011/11/12-days-of-christmas-kindness.html, and thought how awesome this would be to really get into the Christmas SPIRIT! So, I'll post later my own little version of the 12 (or maybe 25) days of Christmas Kindness and post here...

Meet My Newest Friend!

Every year there is a Southern Women's Show that comes to Charlotte NC, and I usually go with my Mom. It gives us a much needed afternoon to talk, catch up and just hang out together. I really enjoy this time with her.... well.... this year... my daughter wanted to go. They did have a craft area this year and turns out my daughter did actually enjoy this ALL DAY trip. (she is 6, I really didn't see it going as good as it actually did)

So as we are cruising the isles of goodies for women... we did a complete HALT in the middle of a busy thoroughfare, because....

A layout of my Family... before ME!

I've been wanting to preserve this little handmade sweater and hat that my daughter wore when she was born. And I thought that the Baby Steps collection was perfect! This sweater was actually given to my MIL when my husband was born (before they new he was a he). Then she gave it to me when my Gracie was born. What an heirloom!
